Raise the Bar

Get a first-hand look at one of our favorite events leading up to wedding season! Held annually at the estate, the Raise the Bar event offers our booked couples the chance to taste a variety of upgraded beverage options. Couples can choose from an extensive list of wines, champagnes, and signature cocktails to enhance their existing bar packages.

It’s wine o’clock somewhere! From bubbles to rosé to bright & crisp varietals, our couples are sure to find their perfect wine match to add onto their big day. Whether you prefer Italian or California vineyards, we’ve got you covered. We found from years past that the most popular brand couples add on is Rodney Strong, so for this event we featured an entire bar with their wines to sample. The biggest hit of the day was “Upshot” by Rodney Strong. Exclusively from vineyards in Sonoma County, Upshot is a rich, supple red wine with bursts of blackberry and dark cherries with hints of spice followed by lush, rounded tannins and a lingering finish. Yum!!

Another big hit of the day included our wines with romantic names such as Loveblock and Love Story! Such a perfect touch to the beginning of your adventure as Mr&Mrs.

We also offer the option to add on a wine tasting experience for your guests. The bride and groom can preselect two whites and two reds for guests to enjoy while our experienced staff pours and elaborates on each wine’s flavor profile. Enhance the wine tasting experience by adding on the appropriate cheeses, chocolates or truffles that pair best with the wines you picked out. All of which were sampled at our Raise the Bar event!2018RTB-1061_preview2018RTB-1058_preview

Pop the Champagne! It’s time to celebrate! We offer a ‘Champagne Welcome’ where guests are greeted with some bubbly upon arrival. We set up the display, fully equipped with Gatsby glasses and cute signage, either at the ceremony site or cocktail hour location. This is included in the premier package but can be added onto the signature/classic packages. A Champagne Welcome is the perfect way for guests to kick-start the festivities!

Signature cocktails are one of the BEST ways to personalize your wedding celebration. The Monte Bello Estate offers 11 different cocktails couples can choose from and add on to their bar packages. Designed by professional mixologists, these cocktails feature either top shelf vodka, gin, rum, tequila or bourbon. There are even a few wine based cocktails to choose from (read our blog post about the Yes Way Frosé). Choosing one of these signature drinks- the El Diablo, Margarita, or the Paloma is a great (and the only) way you can get tequila into your bar package through the signature drink.  If couples can’t decide on just one favorite signature drink, they can choose two and make them his and hers! Everyone loved giving these samples a try!

Raise the Bar is the perfect opportunity to learn all about our upgrades and get a taste for what we have to offer beyond the standard bar package. We love getting the chance to get to know our couples more and help them personalize their special day with these additions. And who doesn’t love spending a beautiful spring afternoon tasting cocktails, wine and cheese?? Thanks again to Eric Gee Photography for capturing this fun event. As always inquire within for any questions on upgrades, pricing and more info. Cheers and happy wedding planning!!
